Solve any issues related to the Malloc VPN Data Shield

Speed Issues
  • If your connection bandwidth is low, then you should try reconnecting to the same or to a different country. When reconnecting, we will connect you to the server with the most available resources.
  • For Android devices only, ff your connection bandwidth is low in a specific demanding app and you trust it then follow the follow the steps below to whitelist this app from the VPN connection. The Malloc VPN supports split tunnelling and this allows you to decide if you would like to exclude apps from the VPN tunnel.

Connection issues
  • In case your internet connection seems to be lagging, then follow the instructions in the Speed Issues section above.
  • In case the VPN Data Shield is enabled and a specific app you previously used encounters responsiveness issues then this is probably due to the fact that it relies its operation on a service or domain that is blocked. You should also ensure that the essential services category is not blocked in the VPN Data Shield settings. If this still does not resolve your issue, it is up to you to decide if it’s worth it to disable the VPN Data Shield and try to reload the app/website without blocking enabled. Note: This may result in sharing personal, tracking or sensitive data to a third-party service.
  • When the VPN Data Shield is enabled and set to block ads and trackers, sponsored links will not load as they are set to send tracking information to a company for marketing purposes and then redirect you to the website of your interest. It is generally recommended to avoid clicking on sponsored links when browsing on the web.

Why my internet access is interrupted?

This might be due to a number of reasons. To ensure that this is not a connection issue, try reconnecting to the VPN service.
